Modernizing Medicine’s Electronic Medical Assistant (EMA) version 4.0 and EMA Mobile version 4.0 are now certified by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB).
The new certifications are “ONC HIT 2014 Edition Complete EHR certification” and “ONC HIT 2014 Edition Modular EHR certification,” respectively. This means that the software is capable of supporting eligible providers and hospitals with meeting the Stage 1 and Stage 2 “Meaningful Use.”
ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, offers vendor-neutral testing and certification. ONC HIT certification conferred by ICSA Labs does not represent an endorsement by the US Department of Health and Human Services.
Meaningful Use 2014 measures must support significantly higher levels of interoperability, patient access, and advanced clinical processes. Of note, the program is one of the first EHR system vendors to achieve ONC HIT 2014 Edition Modular Certification for a mobile device
EMA version 4.0’s certification number is 140055R01, and EMA Mobile version 4.0’s certification number is 140050R01.
