Every year, the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention (NCSCP) declares the Friday before Memorial Day as “Don’t Fry Day!” As Memorial Day traditionally marks the beginning of sunny summer months and many Americans make plans to enjoy the great outdoors, the MRF and NCSCP encourage you to remember sun safety for melanoma prevention. The majority of melanomas are caused by overexposure to UV radiation, from both sunlight and artificial sources. Join the MRF and other members of NCSCP on Friday, May 26, 2017 to raise awareness and help reduce the rates of skin cancer including melanoma, the deadliest type. Follow these tips and encourage your friends and family to do the same!
