Information from ProPublica‘s interactive health databases will begin appearing on Yelp’s health provider pages. Now all Yelp users (ie, your prospective and current patients) will have access to objective data about how your practice patterns compare to your peers and, in turn, ProPublica gets an unprecedented peek inside Yelp’s trove of 1.3 million health reviews.

Exactly what this will mean for cosmetic doctors who count on reviews to help build their brand and boost their online footprint is not known.

It could be a very good thing or a very bad thing depending on how your practice stacks up.
