Brazil’s place in plastic surgery (or maybe plastic surgery’s place in Brazil) is evidenced by 90-year old Ivo Pitanguy, Brazil’s pioneer of plastic surgery, carrying the Olympic torch in Rio on its way to the Olympic Stadium. Dr. Pitanguy had invented the “Brazilian butt lift,” which takes fat from other parts of your body and stuffs it–you guessed it–in your butt.
