A major compression garment manufacturer is ramping up production in response to increased demand from plastic surgeons and other physicians and medical organizations. This product category is a traditional leading indicator of business in the aesthetic medicine field.

Nouvelle Inc, a leading compression wear designer and manufacturer, has added seamstress and administrative positions in order to meet increased demand for postsurgical garments, according to a recent company press release. Garment sales consistently show a strong correlation with the top five plastic surgery procedures noted in recent statistics released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS): breast augmentation, nose reshaping, eyelid surgery, liposuction, and tummy tucks.

In the past month, Nouvelle has designed several new products and hired additional staff to meet increasing demand for its post-surgical compression wear garments, according to the firm.

The top five compression garments manufactured and sold in June and July 2011: girdles, bodysuits, compression sets, facial support garments, and male garments.
