In the age of Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and so many more photo and video platforms, brides want to look their best. Some are even turning to plastic surgery! Derms discuss this growing trend below — would you go under the knife before your big day?

Every bride wants to look and feel amazing on her wedding day. Most women do this with the help of a professional makeup artist and hairstylist, but a growing number of women are actually going under the knife to look picture perfect on their big day.

Dr. Andrew Miller, a board-certified plastic surgeon who has practices in New York City and New Jersey, told HollywoodLife.com:

“Usually before a wedding, patients focus on things for their face. The body isn’t as important before a wedding — usually some dieting goes on, but nothing major that could affect the fit of a wedding dress. Patients often ask for rhinoplasty because so many photos will be taken. Parents of the bride or groom often ask for eyelid surgery or even a facelift for the same reasons. For anyone in the wedding party, small things like Botox or fillers are often performed for quick and easy improvements.”
