Visitors travel from far and wide to Bad Ragaz Grand Resort to bathe in what the Swiss attraction claims are its “healing waters” – and to choose from a dizzying array of cosmetic procedures in their endless pursuit for eternal youth.

Situated in eastern Switzerland at the foot of the Alps, the spa town is located close to the Tamina gorge, said to be the most abundant thermal source in Europe.

The spring, discovered in 1242 by Benedictine monks, is renowned for the low mineral content and the supposed therapeutic properties of the water, which has a natural temperature of 36.5°C.
