The Breast Implant Association, a sister society to the U.K. Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, has launched a PIP breast implant registry. As of February 2012, this registry includes 500 women.

The website also includes a complication registry, a list of clinics that used the faulty PIP breast implants, and hosts a PIP support forum where women can ask questions of plastic surgeons. The website also tracks new developments in the evolving PIP breast implant scandal.

As many as 300,000 women in 65 countries may have Poly Implant Prostheses (PIP) breast implants, which were manufactured with industrial silicone and have a higher than acceptable rate of rupture.
