Paul M. Parker, MD, a plastic surgeon in Paramus, New Jersey, offers a sizing and shaping program for breast augmentation patients.

Following a complimentary consultation with Parker, breast augmentation patients meet with a skilled sizing consultant who is trained in patient photography.

"We know from the data that major causes of dissatisfaction, and even reconstruction in breast augmentation patients, is the choice of size," says Parker.

Patients try on a variety of breast implant testers, including different sizes in a bra, then put a tank top over it and are photographed. This allows the patient to determine how she will look with different size implants.

"It’s like having the patient take a test drive," says Parker.

After the visit, the patient’s pictures are available on a secure password-protected Web site that may be accessed from home to share with friends and family.
