By partnering with the Central Texas Food Bank, the ideaAUSTIN digital summit enables doctors and medical aesthetics industry professionals to join the fight against food shortage for the most vulnerable residents amid the COVID-19 crisis.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and a rapidly changing socioeconomic landscape, Sean Paul, MD, an Austin-based plastic surgeon who specializes in eyelid and facial plastic surgery, transitioned an experiential SXSW week event into an online summit.  IdeaAUSTIN will showcase the knowledge of aesthetic professionals while also helping the Central Texas community fight food shortages facing school children and veterans.

Paul garnered the support of his sponsors and event partners to make the necessary virtual pivot, and the virtual event will take place on Saturday, August 8, from 10 am to 4 pm CDT.

“During these unprecedented times we have a unique opportunity to give to those who need it most,” says Paul in a release. “There is simply no excuse that a person should go without food. The ideaAUSTIN event provides a self-care, educational event and all proceeds will go to support the Central Texas Food Bank to fight hunger.”

ideaAUSTIN is a one-day experience to share on-trend keynotes and best practices for patient care during this “new normal.” The online event will include breakout rooms, a meditation and mindfulness session, and one-on-one visits with industry players such as InMode. The target audience is both aesthetic medicine professionals and the general public attendees. Attendees will interact with aesthetic professionals such as Drs Cain Linville and Camille Cash, culminating with facial plastic surgeon and star of E!TV’s Botched Paul Nassif, MD.

The cost of VIP registrations will go to Central Texas Food Bank, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides contactless and free weekly meal packs to children ages 18 and under, across twenty-one counties in Central Texas.

All registrations/donations over $200 will include a care gift (valued at over $500), with interactive items from event partners, as well as entry into giveaways from sponsors including InMode, Ferrari of Austin, and Austin Face and Body.
