The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) announced its annual fall meeting, which promises the latest advances, procedures, and technologies in facial plastic surgery. The meeting will take place September 18 to 21, 2008, at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago.

The meeting will include panels, workshops, and live demonstrations. Topics will include patient motivations and the growing desire for facial rejuvenation, especially minimally invasive treatment; a facelift workshop and lab; the perils, pitfalls and "pearls" of face-lifting; technological innovations for facial rejuvenation, such as "smart lifting"; a laser- and light-based technology workshop; minimally invasive vs. maximally effective treatments; and live demonstrations on advanced techniques for injectable fillers.
