Health care investment banking firm Leerink Swann and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) last week announced they will cohost a roundtable program during the upcoming ASPS Plastic Surgery 2008 meeting in Chicago.

The roundtable, which will be held on Monday, November 3, 2008, will feature panel discussions by senior management executives from more than 15 companies and key opinion leaders from ASPS membership. The panels will focus on emerging trends and advances in technologies in plastic surgery and their business impact. Participants will discuss advancements in minimally invasive procedures, dermal fillers and neurotoxins, and soft-tissue regenerative products.

The list of participating companies in the roundtable includes several high-powered firms with a lot at stake in the currently shrinking aesthetic medicine market—Allergan, Coapt Systems, Cynosure, Eleme Medical, Intercytex, Kythera Biopharmaceuticals, LifeCell Corp, LipoSonix, Medicis Pharmaceutical, and Zeltiq Aesthetics.
