Put A Lid On it

August is National Hair Loss Awareness Month, and low level laser therapy (LLLT) can make a big difference for some patients, says Alan J. Bauman, MD, a hair transplant surgeon in Boca Raton, Florida. “It appears to be highly effective at improving the function of hair follicles, reversing miniaturization from hereditary male and female hair loss and other types of non-scarring alopecias, as well as improving the overall health and ‘vitality’ of the hair,” he says. It won’t bring dead follicles back to life, but it works well for hair fallout, thinning, and miniaturization.
